Changing Lives Through Horses
Changing Lives through Horses aims to improve the lives of young people aged 14-16 years who, for various reasons, are disengaged and at risk of becoming excluded.
Using horses as the inspiration for change, the programme provides an alternative learning environment to mainstream education. The skills developed through the programme meet the requirements of ongoing education and training, employers and participants.
We are committed to ensuring the programme changes as many lives as possible, and are working in partnership with secondary schools and youth organisations to provide an array of educational and career pathways to support continued development in an environment which celebrates positive change.

“Feedback I’ve had shows this programme really does work.”
“Ellie May joined the Changing Lives through Horses programme at the Parbold Equestrian Centre in 2016. When she joined us, she struggled to speak or make eye contact with anyone.
I recently got feedback from a new client who said that she was greeted by Ellie May upon her arrival and was asked if she was a new client and whether she needed any help. She then proceeded to help the lady’s children get hats and boots, and was calm and encouraging as she led one of the children during a lesson.”
