Carrie Byrom Eventing
Parbold Equestrian Centre is the home of Carrie Byrom Eventing. The event horses are kept within the heart of the yard which gives our clients the opportunity to meet the team and possibly see them worked and handled.
2017 has been a tricky year for the event team. The season began well will all horses competing successfully at their early events. Sadly at the end of April Carrie and Troy suffered a freak fall whilst going xc. This resulted in Carrie breaking both arms. Thankfully Troy was fine although a little upset as he had never before had any issues whilst jumping. The team put it down to just a very bad day and Troy has since gone on to compete without showing any concerns about wanting to do his job again. It has been a little less straight forward for Carrie who has had to undergo 3 operations. The prognosis was initially poor but is now looking more and more promising.
2018 will see a return back to standard team practice. Digger will again be focused on competing in his first CCI**** probably in the Autumn and Troy will continue his rise to the top aiming for a late Spring CCI***. Party who has been lovingly produced by Marie whilst Carrie has been sidelined will be aimed for a late Summer CCI*.
Carrie (BHSI) is available for teaching and riding. She has a team of riders that come for regular lessons but is also be available for clinics.
